Knowledge;facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
From a young age I fell in love with photography, interesting enough colour photography at first. Then for my 17th birthday I was given a 35mm black and white enlarger and my love of printing in the darkroom began.
Owning a darkroom is a great way to learn photography not just shooting on auto with a digital camera and manipulating with photoshop. A certain amount of thought must go into how you want to create the photographic image and to master this, takes some skill.
I have often have been told "you would be a great art and photography teacher" maybe it was my true calling. With a wealth of energy and motivation, you can take up lessons in the basics of analogue photography, how to process your own film or learn how to print in the darkroom.
Most classes consist of groups of 1 or 2 people, that way you understand and learn quickly. Where price is competitive, at the end of the day I want my clients to enjoy and walk away with a knowledge and have a better understanding of the analogue process.
I use a vast range of photographic equipment, ranging from 8x10 to 1/2 frame cameras. Digital and analogue prints are available of a selection of photographs from this website.
I am currently based in Sydney, Australia.
